Saloon Cars

The category is a traditional battle between Holden and Ford, that offers competitors high-speed thrills at a relatively low cost.

Saloon Cars are surprisingly simple machines. The vehicles are six-cylinder production-based Ford Falcons (EA/EB AU’s and Holden Commodores (VN/VP, VT, VX, VY, VZ), slightly modified for competition, safety and reliability. Saloon Cars are a controlled class with the entire field carrying the same tyres, suspension, brakes and other components. Additionally, mechanical modifications are strictly limited and regulated in the interests of affordable competition.
